Robert Leduc

Director of Operations, THE ACADEMY Tap/Hip Hop/Ballet Teaching/Choreography | B.A., B.A. (Hon.), B.Ed., OCT, ACCA

Rob started dance at an early age and has since earned numerous titles and awards as both a dancer and a choreographer. Entering into professional dance at the age of 16, Robert has balanced a University career earning three separate university level degrees while continuing to grow and develop in the field of dance.

Rob’s professional career includes featured dance work with various industrial publicity campaigns, theme parks and production companies. He spent many years as a dance instructor at University of Windsor and continues to teach master workshops for dancers in Canada and the United States. As a choreographer he is well sought after throughout the Ontario dance scene, having taught at dozens of studios across the province and abroad. He has trained extensively on dance scholarships in both New York and Los Angeles, and toured worldwide through contract dance positions with various cruise lines and production companies.

Rob attended the University of Windsor earning an Honours degree in Drama in Education, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He then continued on to The University of Western Ontario where he holds a Bachelor of Education degree and is a certified member of the Ontario College of Teachers for the Intermediate and Senior levels. Rob excels as both a secular school teacher and dance teacher and is also a teaching member of the Cecchetti Council of America.
Rob continues to train students of all ages, and has dancers who have gone on to win national level titles and scholarships of their own. He is also a professional adjudicator, which allows him to remain on the cutting edge of dance techniques and initiatives.
